Depart from Ontario Airport (other available upon request) for a quick flight up to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle sits on Puget Sound against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Soak up the city’s scene in one the many coffeehouses or head down to the lively Pike Place Market to feast on artisanal and local foods. Seattle still is the Gateway to Alaska. Just as in 1898, visitors are lining the piers of Seattle eager to board ships bound for Alaska. These days a few things have changed – the ships are little more comfortable and the voyage is the destination – but the sentiment remains the same – North to Alaska!
Included Adventure – Ride the Ducks of Seattle
Upon arrival we will head to downtown Seattle and check in to our 4 star accommodations. Then we are off to tour Seattle and Ride the Duck! Fall in love with Seattle on this fun-filled, wacky, quack-y continuous tour, packed with local folklore, historical information, jokes and music! Your Tour Guide will keep you dancin’ in your seat, laughin’ till your stomach hurts and surprising your friends with long shot trivia bits at the drop of a hat!

Day Two: Seattle, Washington
We will start our morning with an included Pike Place Food Tour by Savor Seattle. Experience the iconic Pike Place Market on a curated culinary journey. Watch the salmon fly through the air at the famous fish mongers store and sample the crab cakes, chowder, pastries, local produce and cheese from local artisans. Get an insider’s look at seven market vendors and hear the stories about the Market’s rich history that spans over a hundred years.
Welcome aboard Explorer of the Seas: In the early afternoon we will board our massive amenity packed cruise ship featuring a rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, surf simulator and more. With plenty to do for kids, parents and grandparents, the Explorer of the Seas will be a comfortable and exciting venue for our week in Alaska.

Whether you seek an adrenaline rush or total tranquility, Royal Caribbean’s ships have it all. Try rock climbing, ice skating and mini golf that overlooks a sea of blue. Melt away land-based stress with a spa massage, learn about Alaskan wildlife or simply relax poolside. We will use our days at sea to prep for what we will see when we make landfall with several unique educational experiences for every member of the family. We will also have activities specific for just the kiddos as well as adults only dining, wine tasting and dancing. We will come together each night in the 3 story grand dining room for a culinary experience with all you can eat gourmet food included!
Day Four: Juneau
Juneau’s historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure. Native American Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian (sim-shee-an) people have lived in Southeast Alaska for thousands of years. Today, Juneau is a thriving city offering a great blend of city amenities and small-town hospitality, all in the heart of Alaska’s majestic mountains, rivers, glaciers, and forests. Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Nearly 32,000 people call Juneau home – many of them working in government, tourism, mining, and fishing, and all of them instilled with a deep love for this place. Such a mix of personalities makes Juneau unique.
Included Adventure – Real Alaskan Dog Sledding Adventure!
Visiting a musher’s camp is a uniquely Alaskan experience that will undoubtedly warm your heart. This perfect look inside Alaska’s state sport will have you following next winter’s races and begging the decision makers back home to track down a husky of your own. After a pickup at pier, you will take a scenic drive deep into the Tongass National Rainforest on Douglas Island. After arriving at the camp, you will be greeted by your seasoned musher and a team of Alaskan huskies who will be thrilled to make some new friends.
Once you are done handing out some scratches behind the ears, you will board a custom designed, wheeled summertime sled for a chance to see the dogs in action. Dogs like this were born to run and they will lead you on a thrill ride down a one mile trail surrounded by giant spruce and hemlock trees. After the ride, you will meet up with a knowledgeable dog handler and a retired sled dog. Ask any questions you may have about the life of a musher and the fine-tuned care provided to these famous dogs. A rundown on the most important races and various equipment involved in dog sledding will provide even greater insight about the sporting world of dog mushing.
Free time at the end will allow you to walk along beautiful Fish Creek and play with the adorable husky puppies. Socializing these dogs is an important part of their future success, so consider yourself part of the team!
• Round trip transportation from the cruise ship pier
• Visit to a musher’s camp in Tongass National Rainforest
• 1 mile wheeled dog sled ride
• Suspension bridge walk over Fish Creek
• Free time with the puppies and huskies!
Day Five: Skagway
The great Klondike Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. Skagway emerged in the late 1890s as a makeshift gold-rush town for miners headed to the Yukon gold fields. Besides Juneau, Skagway is the most popular port in southeast Alaska and it rarely disappoints visitors. A seven-block corridor along Broadway features historic false-front shops and restaurants, wooden sidewalks, locals in period costumes and restored buildings.
Included Adventure – White Pass Train and Drive
ALL ABOARD! Skagway’s most scenic ALASKAN experience begins with a 28-mile journey between Skagway, Alaska, and Fraser, British Columbia, aboard the Scenic Railway of the World.
• 28-mile journey to Fraser, British Columbia, aboard the Scenic Railway of the World

Once you reach the top of the mountain, you’ll be suited up in equipment that meets the highest safety standards, while your trained guide provides a safety briefing and lets you know what to expect on your wild ride! The course consists of 11 ziplines, including one that is longer than two football fields combined.

• A fun ride in a unimog
• An invigorating zipline adventure!

Day Six: Tracy Arm Fjord
Just south of Juneau lies the magnificent Tracy Arm Fjord, carved by glacier activity. Among the sights to admire from the icy waters are waterfalls cascading down 3,000-foot-high granite walls. The Sawyer Glaciers at the end of Tracy Arm may not be the most famous glaciers in Alaska, but many visitors find them to be the most dramatic. Framed by mountains on either side, the glaciers are often bathed in a light mist that amplifies the blue hue of the ice. Check out the fjord’s many icebergs from close up as the ship maneuvers around them. The texture and color of the ice is quite different from the smooth stuff you put in drinks! The glaciers are home to black and brown bears, wolves, deer and moose. Look for seals and whales in the fjord’s icy waters, and frequent bald eagle appearances overhead.
Day Seven: Cruising
Have your camera ready to capture the rugged beauty of the islands and mainland coast of southern Alaska. The views include glaciers, fjords, soaring cliffs and misty northern rainforest. Shaped by the force of massive glaciers millions of years ago, Alaska’s Inside Passage is teeming with wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery — habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. The Inside Passage’s mountains are carpeted with majestic forests and this has long been the favored sea route between Anchorage and Seattle because it is much more serene than the Pacific Ocean. Use this day to explore your home, a floating resort with more to do than you can imagine.
Day Eight: Victoria, British Colombia
Victoria has the mildest climate in Canada. The wild beauty of the Pacific coast and adventures in the great outdoors are within city limits and ocean and mountain vistas will follow you wherever you go. With an energetic and vibrant atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Victoria, B.C. is one of the world’s favorite destinations. The capital of British Columbia is filled with blooming gardens, heritage architecture and historic charm. The heart of Victoria is its scenic harbor and Old Town, compact areas that are made for strolling and easily explored on foot. Victoria is a unique blend of old world charm and new world experiences. As an island destination, Victoria offers visitors an escape from the hurried world and beams with ambiance. In Victoria, heritage architecture, colorful gardens and traditions like afternoon tea are mixed with outdoor adventure, culinary experiences, cocktail and craft beer scenes.
